Key rules from the advertisement
- A candidate can choose only one subject — the one for which the teacher eligibility test is passed.
- A candidate can appear at most 5 times (Bihar State School Teacher Rules, 2024).
- Reservation benefits only for permanent residents (domicile) of Bihar.
- Women get 35% horizontal reservation (50% for Class 1–5) for Bihar domicile; divyang 4%; freedom-fighters' grandchildren 2%.
- Guest teachers get 5 marks for every year of service, up to 25 (subject to the High Court case LPA 593/2024).
